Viola Connie Jones

Viola "Connie" Jones, 66, of Manila, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mrs. Jones was born at the Lost Cane Community near Manila and was the daughter of the late Eber and Velma Sisson Robinson. She had been a lifelong Manila area resident and was a member of Fairview Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Edge.

Survivors include her husband, Odell Jones of Manila; a son, Lee Jones of Manila; three brothers, Donald Robinson of Leachville, Sid Robinson and Raymond Robinson, both of Manila; four sisters, Clara Duncan and Linda Robinson, both of Leachville, Catherine Collins of Mountain View and Flossie Jewell of Blytheville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Carl Edge officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family received visitors from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
