J.B. Lorren
J.B. Lorren, 81, of the Lost Cane Community, near Manila, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at the Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. Born at Lost Cane, he was the son of the late John Marion and Venie Barnes Lorren. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Lost Cane.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Luke Lorren, Gordon Lorren, Dick Lorren, Clarence Lorren, Roy Lorren and Harold Lorren; three sisters, Lillian Downing, Jewell Gregg and Ova Dee Kirkland; and his wife, Elizabeth Lorren.
Survivors include a son, Larry James Lorren of Osceola; two daughters, Clara Murray and Martha Lorren, both of Memphis; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Larry Jr. and Linda; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Mallory, Regan and Tripp.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery. The family received visitors from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
