A Blytheville teenager is being held in the Mississippi County Jail with a $200,000 bond, accused of shooting at his father and another man on Saturday in Blytheville, according to a report from the Blytheville Police Department.
Erik Hise, 19, was arrested after police went to a residence in the 700 block of Putting Green Drive at 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Witnesses told police that Erik Hise had shot at them. According to officers, Hise was angry and went to the home and began yelling and screaming. He then pulled out what appeared to be three handguns.
The witnesses said they got into a truck and began to back out of the driveway, when Erik fired four to six shots at the truck, striking the truck on the driver's side window and also near the gas tank area of the truck.
Todd McKellep of Blytheville received minor injuries from shattering glass. The other victim, Rick Hise, of Blytheville, Erik's father, was not injured in the incident.
Another witness to the incident was able to take the guns away from Hise and throw them into a nearby trash can. Erik Hise then left the scene, but was found a short time later at a residence on Magnolia Street, where he was taken into custody without further incident.
Police found 28 Xanax pills in a snuff can found in Erik Hise's pants pocket. He was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal mischief, committing a terroristic act and possession of a controlled substance.
