Annette Lippert was crowned Miss 2009 Lakeside on Friday afternoon.
Cathy Stout, activity director, welcomed guests and contestants to the annual event.
"We appreciate everyone who helped with the pageant and especially the contestants," Stout said. "They all did a wonderful job."
Mrs. Lippert, 76, has been a resident at Lakeside since May. She is from the Lake City area. She is the mother of two and grandmother of five.
She worked 40 years at Midsouth Plumbing and Supply in Jonesboro. Later she worked for Dr. Parten in Monette and Dr. Robbins in Lake City. She retired in 1998.
Lippert will represent Lakeside in the District 4 Queen Pageant to be held at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro in October.
Each contestant had to answer questions about their hobbies, past work experience, and families.
Judges for the event were Miles Evans and Jackie Simmons.
First runner up was Mildred Short. She has four sons, a daughter, and eight grandchildren. Second runner up was Annette Emison who is 100 years old. She is the mother of seven boys and grandmother of seven boys. Third runner up iwas Gyneth Price. She has six children and nine grandchildren. Goldye Hale was fourth runner up. She has one daughter, one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
