Blytheville Police are investigating several thefts that have occurred over the weekend, according to reports from the department.
Sunday at 5 p.m., police were called to the 500 block of North 10th, where Roger Straubinger said while he was checking his property that was vacant because of a previous fire, he noticed that the air conditioning condenser unit had been disassembled and the copper coil removed from the unit. Straubinger also said the copper lines that run from the unit to under the house had been cut and removed as well. The value of the missing items is believed to be $250.
Sunday at 3:48 p.m., police were called to the 1500 block of West Walnut, where Helen Casper said someone had broken into her residence while she was out of town and taken several items. Casper reported a Cactaur Wii System, Playstation 3, Gateway Laptop Computer with accessories, and some costume jewelry, all valued at $2,400 were missing.
Friday at 9:30 a.m., Vicki Davis, of Blytheville, came to the police station to report that someone stole her purse from her vehicle while it was parked at her residence on Meadow Lane. She reported that her purse contained cash, jewelry and medications, all valued at $145.
Sunday at 8:30 p.m., police were called to the 2300 block of Birch, where Bobby Shelton reported someone entered his vehicle on Saturday and stole his CD player valued at $150. The person also did $100 damage to the dash facing of the vehicle.
