A Blytheville man is listed in serious but stable condition in a Memphis Hospital, after a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a car Saturday evening, according to reports from the Blytheville Police Department.

The accident reportedly occurred at 5:10 p.m. in the 900 block of East Main when a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by Douglas E. Atterberry, 41, of Blytheville, was pulling out of the Sun Bath Car Wash parking lot, and apparently clipped an eastbound 2008 Honda, being driven by William Jackie Herron, 42, of Blytheville.

Herron was transported by Mississippi County EMS from the scene to Walker Park, where the Blytheville Emergency Squad had set up a landing zone for a Air-Evac Helicopter to fly Herron to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis for treatment.

Atterberry was transported to the Blytheville Police Station where he was cited for driving on a suspended license for DWI, and for DWI in the accident. Atterberry was not injured in the accident, and said he did not see Herron until it was to late.
