Blytheville Police are investigating several incidents that occurred over the weekend according to reports.

Sunday, Jodi Tillman reported to police that the lawn service that mows her rental property at the 100 block of East Hardin, noticed that a window air conditioner was missing from the residence. The air conditioner is valued at $400.

Sunday at 6:10 a.m., police were called to the 1300 block of Howard for a report of an aggravated burglary that had just occurred. Percy Wright told officers that a black male dressed in a dark-colored shirt and blue jeans, came to his door, and picked the lock with a credit card. Wright said he was sleeping in the living room floor with his wife and their children at the time, and when the offender saw Wright, the offender told them to put their heads back under the covers and stay on the floor. Wright said he told the offender to get out, but the offender took out a black handgun and pointed at him, again telling them to cover their heads. Wright and his wife covered their heads while the offender went through the house taking money from their wallets and a cell phone. $490 in cash and property were taken from the home.

Sunday at 11:30 p.m., police were called to the 1000 block of West Walnut for a report of a vehicle being broken into. Damon Haley stated that he left his car at this residence for the weekend, and when he returned, he found it had been broken into and a school bag with papers inside was the only thing taken.

Sunday at 8:26 p.m., police took a report at the police station from Ezell Rogers, who said on Saturday, his wife had called him when she discovered the front door of their residence in the 900 block of McDaniel was open and a handgun was missing. The handgun is valued at $300.

Saturday at 10 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of West Hardin for a report of a burglary and theft of property. Eldridge Buckley said while he was in jail, someone entered his home and stole several items. Buckley said he was away from home for a week. Buckley reported a flat-screen television and a Playstation 3 missing with a total value of $1,100.

Friday at 1:07 a.m., police arrested Andre Peoples, 31, of Blytheville, on charges of felony possession of a handgun, refusal to submit and felony fleeing, after officers observed Peoples acting suspiciously at the 200 block of West Walnut. Officers investigated when they saw Peoples walk to the street and then to the back of the residence several times. Peoples was very nervous when officers were questioning him. Officers also found a broken window in the home and a handgun on the bumper of a vehicle in the driveway of the home. Peoples tried to run inside the home, but officers caught him at the door. Peoples allegedly refused to submit to arrest, resulting in the officers having to Taze Peoples to take him into custody.

Friday at 2:16 a.m., officers noticed a large amount of smoke near the intersection of Franklin and Ash. The officers found a vehicle on fire parked in front of River City Spice and immediately notified dispatch, who dispatched the fire department to the scene. A window on the vehicle was broken out and the seat was on fire. After the fire was extinguished by the fire department, it was ruled that the fire was arson. The 2001 Toyota Highlander, belonging to Jimmy McVay from Steele, was valued at $10,000.
