Blytheville Police are investigating several thefts reported to the department over the weekend.

Friday at 3 p.m., police were called to the 300 block of North Fifth, where Robert Craig with Craig Realty said he manages property for the victim located at 500 Madison. Craig told police that sometime between June 8 and Friday, someone stole the central air conditioning units from two apartments. The air conditioning units are valued at $2,000.

Friday at 5 p.m., police were called to the 1500 block of Byrum Road, where Pediatric Specialty Care reported that someone broke into a storage shed between May 29 and Friday. Reported stolen from the shed were computer speakers, wireless computer antennas and computer software, all valued at $160.

Sunday at 10:30 a.m., police were called to the 800 block of Mayfair for a report of a vehicle break-in. Kametha Evans said between midnight and 2:30 a.m. Sunday, someone entered her vehicle and stole a black case containing approximately 80 CDs and her cell phone. The value of the missing items is believed to be $1,300.

Sunday at 9:27 p.m., officers were called to a report of a burglary alarm at Harold's Exxon located at 209 South Second. Officers found that the business had been forcibly entered by kicking in a door. Owner Harold Cole arrived and inspected the business and determined that nothing was missing as far as he could tell. Cole reported $200 damage to the door.

Fire department reponds

Blytheville Fire department answered three calls over the last three days according to reports from the department.

At 1:16 this morning, firemen were called to 2032 Chickasawba for a report of a car fire. Firemen extinguished the blazing vehicle which suffered heavy damage in the blaze. The fire is under investigation at this time. Firemen were on the scene until 1:58 a.m.

Monday at 7:51 p.m., firemen were called to 301 East Davis for a report of a kitchen fire. Firemen investigated and ventilated the home where cooking was determined to be the cause of the fire. No damage was reported and firemen were on the scene until 8:07 p.m.

Friday at 3:29 a.m., firemen were called to a report of a structure fire at 2308 Peabody. The home suffered heavy damage in the fire with the cause still under investigation. Firemen were on the scene until 4:44 a.m.

Missouri patrolmen

make four arrests

Four people were arrested over the past weekend on various charges, including a Steele man who was then released to his parents, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Eric A. Dunavin, 36, of Steele, was arrested by the patrol at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, in Pemiscot County, and charged with DWI first offense. Dunavin was charged and then released into the custody of his parents.

Mark W. Fortner, 36, of Risco, Mo., was arrested by the patrol at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, in Dunklin County, on charges of driving while intoxicated (drugs) and careless and imprudent driving. Fortner was treated and released from the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett after he was charged.

Logan K. Wilson, 21, of Hayti, was arrested by the patrol at 10:32 a.m. Saturday, in Dunklin County, on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense). Wilson was taken to the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department in Kennett where he was being held on bond.

Alvin Benford, 60, of Neelyville, Mo., was arrested by the patrol at 11:55 p.m. Friday, in Dunklin County, on charges of Felony driving while intoxicated chronic offender and driving while revoked. Benford was taken to the Dunklin County Jail in Kennett where he is being held on bond.
