A Kennett man was arrested Wednesday and charged with terroristic threatening after making a threat towards the Kennett Wal-Mart store.
Wal-Mart officials told police a man came into the store and became angry with them. The officials said as a result of the anger, the man said he was going to blow the store up.
Following the threat, Kennett Police were notified and located the suspect, a 23-year-old Kennett resident, and took him into custody.
The suspect was arrested for terroristic threatening and taken to the Dunklin County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges by the State Prosecutor, according to the Kennett Police Department.

domestic battery charges
A Blytheville man was arrested by police and charged with Domestic Battery III after officers were called to the 400 block of Milan at 4:45 a.m. Sunday.
Frank Wimbley, 51, is charged with assaulting his girlfriend, Terreca Williams, 24, after they got into an argument.
Williams told police that when she returned home at 4:30 a.m., Wimbley started yelling at her and then began to strike her in the head with a closed fist. Williams also said Wimbley slammed her head into a wall in the living room, and also struck her in the arms and chest with a shoe.
Officers noted that Williams showed signs of serious physical injuries to her head and arms, as well as swelling to the right side of her head and to her right eye.
Wimbley was taken into custody and transported to the police station where he was charged and then transported to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department to await his appearance in court.
Burglaries investigated
Blytheville Police are investigating two residential burglaries that occurred this week according to reports.
Wednesday at 3:36 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Willow Apartments, where Marci Williams reported that sometime between 2 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., someone entered her residence and took her television. The television is described as a 32-inch flat-screen valued at $1,284.
Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., police were called to the 1300 block of South Seventh, where Latina Thomas reported that she came home and found her back door open and her son's PlayStation was missing. The PlayStation is valued at $150.
Traffic stop
results in drug charges
A traffic stop resulted in a Gosnell woman being arrested on drug charges, according to reports from the Blytheville Police Department.
Blytheville Police conducted a traffic stop Saturday at 3:19 p.m., on the Hays Parking Lot on Walnut, after they observed a vehicle driving hazardously on Lake and Walnut.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Brenda Darty, 43, of Gosnell, who was asked by officers to exit the vehicle, at which time they observed her speech to be slurred and very slow.
Darty was given several sobriety field tests, which she failed. She was asked if she had been drinking or had taken any medication, which she answered no to drinking and said she had taken some medication.
Officers found several loose white pills, nine Flexeril and five Xanax, in her purse.
Darty was charged with DWI drugs, possession of a controlled substance, and driving left of center.
