Louise Blankenship Chrisco
Louise Blankenship Chrisco, 93, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born Jan. 7, 1916, in Monette to the late John and Lilly Blankenship. She had been a resident of Black Oak for more than 65 years and was an active member of the Black Oak Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Chrisco; son, Ronnie Chrisco; stepson, Duane Chrisco; three brothers, Glenn, Dick and Donald Blankenship, and a sister, Helen Anthony.
Survivors include a daughter and husband, Donna and Tony Stewart of West Memphis; a son and wife, Johnny and Linda Chrisco of Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters-in-law, Darlene Chrisco of Monette and Polly Chrisco of Blytheville; three grandsons and their wives, Johnny Ray and Heather Chrisco, USAF Kuwait and Abilene, Texas, Jeffery Scott and Traci Chrisco of Huntsville, Carey and Karen Chrisco of Conway; two granddaughters, Kellie Stewart of West Memphis and Kimmie Beckham and husband Shane of Marion; great-grandchildren, Chase Stewart, Hunter and Ashlyn Chrisco, Katie Chrisco, Arlie and Amber Chrisco and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life was held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 24, at the Black Oak Church of Christ with Chub Qualls, Eddie Dunigan and Tim Bassing officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Tony Stewart, Jeffery Chrisco, Carey Chrisco, Arlie Chrisco, Larry Anthony, Justin Blankenship and Shane Beckham.
The family requests lasting memorial be given to the Black Oak Church of Christ or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
