Approximately 800 pounds of catchable catfish will be in Walker Pond Saturday for the annual Kiwanis Fishing Rodeo, according to organizer Jack Goodman.

On fish, in particular, -- Bubba -- will be of interest to the youth fishermen, which will range from ages 1 to 15.

The 20-to-25-pound tagged fish will be worth $200 if caught during the fishing rodeo, which will be held from 7-9 a.m. Saturday at Walker Park.

Prizes will be awarded for first fish (any variety), biggest fish (any variety), smallest fish (must be a catfish) and most pounds (limit five fish) in each division.

The divisions are girls 1-8 and 9-15 and boys 1-8 and 9-15.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission donated the 800 pounds of catfish that will be in the pond for the boys and girls to catch, Goodman said.
