The fourth grade Buffalo Island Central West Mustangs finished their basketball season with a 20-7 record. They were third in the conference and runner-up in the conference tournament held in Caraway. They also received runner-up in the Raider Classic Tournament in Jonesboro.

The team is coached by Robbie Shirley, D.J. Hill and Nick Birdno.

"We had a great year," Coach Shirley said. "The boys were well mannered. We appreciate the team members, their parents, and the community for supporting us throughout the year."

Shirley and Hill have coached together for five years.

"This is the first year we have received a trophy," Shirley said.

All of the BIC West teams, fourth through the sixth grade, collected money to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Some of the team members and coaches went to the Ronald McDonald House to deliver donations of food and money. Team members then attended a Grizzly game in Memphis.
