Francis Diann Long

Francis Diann Long, 58, of Osceola, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 15, 1950, in Mississippi County, the daughter of Charles Boyd of West Ridge, and the late Verna Spradlin. She was a homemaker and of the Mormon faith.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two daughters, Angela Finley and Sharon Ford, both of Manila; a son, Chuck Ford of Bakersville, Calif.; a sister, Linda Allred of Etowah; four brothers, Robert Boyd of West Ridge, Paul Boyd of Long Grove, Okla., Ricky Boyd of Marietta, Okla., and Terry Griffin of West Ridge; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Etowah Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah. Services were held at 10 a.m. with burial following in Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah. Brother Huey Meherg officiated. Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
