The town of Yarbro is receiving water from the City of Blytheville, according to Steve Burghart of the Arkansas Department of Health.

"Apparently, they had trouble getting power or finding a generator during the recent ice storm," Burghart said. The town's water treatment facility was without power long enough to affect the water supply, he said.

Until power is restored and its own system is back online, Yarbro will continue to obtain water from Blytheville's water system, he said.

Blytheville was able to maintain its system by the use of generators during the recent power outage, so the quality of the water was maintained, Burghart said.
