Blytheville High School placed on lockdown

Blytheville — Tuesday, Aug. 27, Blytheville High School (BHS) was placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure following a security incident involving a student and family members. A parent entered the BHS Welcome Center lobby with son and adult daughter, expressing concerns that their son might be in possession of a weapon. The Welcome Center personnel immediately followed protocol by contacting school security, who in turn requested assistance from the Blytheville Police Department (BPD)...
