She was a lifelong resident of Monette and a member of the Monette First Baptist Church. Opal grew up on a farm and farmed for a good part of her life. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Mary was a homemaker and was a member of the Dogwood Extension Homemakers Club as well as the Quilting Club.
