Wife charged with husband's death

On Thursday, July 7, at approximately 6:35 a.m. officers of the Osceola Police Department responded to the Day’s Inn and Suites in Osceola in reference to gun shots in the area. When officers arrived they discovered Thomas Porter, 62, had suffered from a gunshot wound to the chest. Lifesaving measures were attempted by officers and ambulance staff but failed and Porter succumbed to his injuries.
