Born to Norman and Elsie King Lindsey in Osceola, Carolyn was retired from Ek Adams and was of the Christian faith. Gary Lynn "Winkey" Carmichael, 67, of Manila, formerly of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, July 23, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born and raised in Leachville, he was the son of the late V.H. "Mutt" and Irene Wilson Carmichael and had been a lifelong area resident. He was retired from the Mississippi County Maintenance and Landfill Department, having worked as a grader operator, assistant road superintendent and former director of the Mississippi County Landfill. He also had worked over the years for Wildy Farms in Leachville. "Winkey" enjoyed collecting marbles, bottles, old coins and arrowheads. He was also an avid NASCAR enthusiast and was a Mark Martin fan and will be missed by his dog Lilla. ...

Lois Venita Eaton Marsh White, 97, a lifelong resident of Blytheville, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2021, at the Gosnell Healthcare in Gosnell. Born to David E. and Bessie Taylor Eaton in Blytheville, she was the beloved matriarch of her family and the retired owner/operator of White’s Fine Antiques. ...

Charles Edward "Snooky" Kirk, 73, of Manila, passed from this life Saturday, July 24, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in the Roseland Community, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Jewell Hale Kirk and had been a lifelong area resident. "Snooky" was a retired farmer, having worked for the late Billy Griggs as well as Mark Dixon Farms. He was very mechanically inclined and could repair anything. "Snooky" enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith and had attended Little River Baptist Church in the Lost Cane Community as a child. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, W.C. ...

Blytheville police officers arrested Kuntrell Jackson twice last week following domestic incidents. The 35-year-old Jackson, who has been arrested eight times since his release from prison in 2017 on capital murder charges, was cuffed Monday, July 19, on charges of domestic battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
