Gosnell preps for testing

The Gosnell School Board met Jan. 25 to discuss this year’s schedule with end-of-year testing as well as the ESSER funds received through the second stimulus package. “Even though we’ve had all these changes with Covid, we’re still going to test this year despite not being able to test last year,” district curriculum coordinator Anita McKinney said. “We’re actually giving a civics test this Wednesday that every high school student has to pass in order to graduate.”...

Vaccine supply can’t keep up with demand

There is a shortage in the supply to meet the demand of Covid-19 vaccines. On the national news, people are lined up at sites throughout the country in hopes to receive the vaccine. Area pharmacies including Delta Drug in Manila; Rose Pharmacy in Blytheville; Southern Pharmacy in Mississippi, Craighead and Poinsett Counties; and McFarlin Drug in Monette, are administering Covid-19 vaccine immunizations as they receive the supplies...
