Pirates, Lions punch ticket to Class 3A State Tournament

The Gosnell Pirates (19-9-1) punched their ticket to the 3A State Tournament Thursday with walk-off hit by Waylon Kuykendall, defeating the host Palestine -Wheatley Patriots 3-2 in 10 innings. However, Friday morning the Pirates were defeated 5-3 by the Piggott Mohawks. Skycop poles go up in 6 locations in Blytheville

In a little less than a week, downtown Blytheville will be bustling vendors, food, and fun times as we kickoff another annual Mayfest, and I am ready for it. I really enjoyed the last Mayfest and I am hoping to have an even grander time this year. It is my true hope that Blytheville citizens of all ages, races, creeds, and beliefs can come together as one and just enjoy all that our great town has to offer for a weekend...
