As we here at the office sit around compiling our last edition of the Blytheville Courier News and the first edition of the NEA Town Courier, it has given me an opportunity to look back at this past year and reflect on its events. No celebratory gunfire allowed in city

Blytheville Police Assistant Chief Ricky Jefferson said that the Blytheville Police Department will be bringing in extra shifts on New Year's Eve and will be strictly enforcing the ban on celebratory gunfire within Blytheville city limits. Blytheville Ordinance 1622 sets the punishment for those convicted of "willfully and intentionally discharging any firearm within the corporate limits of the city of Blytheville at "no less than $500 and not exceeding $1,000 for each such offense."...
