At last Tuesday's Blytheville City Council meeting, Mayor James Sanders closed the meeting by reading the findings of the city's most recent legislative audit for 2017. According to the audit, which monitors the compliance of the offices of mayor, finance director, clerk/treasurer, district court clerk, police chief and advertising and promotion commissioner, only one office was noted to be in noncompliance with state law — the advertising and promotion commissioner, which is held by Don Houseworth.. ...

Students attend civil discourse training

At Monday night's Blytheville School Board meeting, State Rep. Monte Hodges (D-Blytheville) and several students from Blytheville High School gave a presentation to the board about civil discourse training that they attended last month.
