The Mississippi County Election Commission met on Thursday to set polling locations and times for the run-off elections occurring in three municipalities within the county; Manila, Luxora and Gosnell. The run-off election will be held on December 4 from 7:30 a.m.. to 7:30 p.m. at the selected polling locations, which include the community center in Gosnell, the Charles Strong Recreational Center in Luxora and the Manila Depot Center in Manila...

On behalf of its client Tawona Warren, the Law Office of Harris and Morrison has filed another lawsuit against Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson and the City of Blytheville in the Rayshawn Warren case. Along with accusations that police left Rayshawn Warren in a vegetative state during the Sept. 29 arrest, Tawona Warren, his guardian, says Thompson has violated the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)...

The proposed 2019 City of Blytheville budget was presented to the Finance Committee on Thursday. The proposed budget totals $26,705,195.01 between the city's 24 expenditure departments. For 2018, the city's original approved budget was $26,045,396.18, which makes the proposed budget $659,798.83 above the 2018 budget...

Well, the results are in and while we saw a lot of incumbents retain their positions, we also saw some change locally and few positions where we couldn’t come to a decision. All that aside, I don’t really feel like talking about the results of the elections this week. What I would like to talk about is the disturbing lack of voter turnout in this county...
