Blytheville's annual Mayfest event took place this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday in what was a fun-filled and successful weekend. Interim Main Street Blytheville director L.C. Hartsfield told the CN that the Saturday event had 71 vendors as opposed to 51 vendors last year. Cancer doesn't discriminate and nearly a month ago a little boy, Bruce Stabbs and his family’s life changed drastically after he was diagnosed with what doctors believe is Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia ( ALL). ALL is treatable, however, Stabbs will be at St. Jude Children’s Hospital for at least 6-8 weeks and then if he is able to go home he will have to go back every week for two and a half years. Stabb's immune system isn't currently fighting anything off so he is "kind of isolated"...
