Wayne Shedd, 80, of Manila, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at his home. He was the son of Manila pioneers, Ira D. and Martha Lorette Alston Shedd, and was a 1956 graduate of Manila High School. As a young man, Wayne had the distinction of being the first lifeguard at the city swimming pool, a position that became tradition as his daughter and granddaughter followed in his footsteps working as lifeguards. ...

Bishop Roscoe Roberson, 89, of Blytheville quietly departed this life on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Saint Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born on February 16, 1928 in Greensburg, Louisiana to Martha Coleman and Ruben Roberson.
