Thelbert "Shot" Thomas, 77, of Leachville, passed from this life, Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. He was the son of the late Filo and Cordie Lee Miller Thomas and had been a lifelong Leachville resident. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Myrtle Virginia (Starnes) Reams, 82, of Conway passed away peacefully at Heritage Living Center on May 13, 2017. She was born in Blytheville on November 14, 1934 to Clarence and Erma Starnes. She was a longtime member of Conway United Pentecostal Church. She loved children and was an in-home babysitter for many years. Michael King pled guilty today (Monday) on first degree murder for his part in the June 2016 slaying of Yuri Mckever. He was sentenced to 30 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections, followed by 10 years SIS. King and Michael Jackson were accused of murder, aggravated robbery and theft of property in last summer's homicide on South First.
