Jr. Pirates beat Rivercrest

The Gosnell Junior Pirates defeated Rivercrest, 51-30, Friday night. The host Junior Pirates (19-4, 11-2 conference) led 12-4 at the end of the first quarter, 24-10 at halftime and 37-22 after three quarters. Leading scorers were Jydarian Young with 16 pts. (3 3-pointers), Caleb Brown 13 (3 3-pointers), and Jordan Lewis and Rashin Gates both with 6 points. They play at Jonesboro Westside next Friday. The 7th grade Pirates also won their game Friday night, 35-27. Travell Anderson had 15 points and Daniel Sullivan 10 points in the win.
