A local man was arrested on drug charges, following a domestic disturbance on South Ruddle Saturday night. Around 7 that night, Blytheville police arrested 41-year-old Jonathan Mckemie on charges of possession of controlled substance without a prescription and driving on suspended driver's license (third offense)...

Police investigated an animal cruelty case in the 4400 block of East State Highway 18 around 6:56 p.m. Friday. Police found a dead Golden Retriever attached to a cable anchored to the ground, according to the police report. The report said there was no food or water within the dog's reach. The offender told police that between 10-11 a.m. Friday, he put the dog outside to go to the bathroom, after returning home from work, then fell asleep...

A man pointed an assault rifle at a woman around 8:36 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Sycamore, according to Blytheville police. Capt. Scott Adams said officers were flagged down at 133 E. Sycamore Apt. B. "The victim and witnesses advised the female's estranged husband pointed an AK type assault rifle at her and threatened her with it," Adams said. "She advised she did not know the reason for the incident. The offender was last seen traveling north on Franklin Street."...
