The Blytheville City Council approved funding for Thunder Bayou Golf Links (TB) at least through April 30 during their specially called meeting held Wednesday afternoon. All members were present except Councilmen John Musgraves and Tommy Abbott. The council agreed to extend $34,447 to TB to fund operations for the month. The total amount appropriated thus far for TB from January 1 through April 30 totals $154,000...

The following are reports from the Blytheville Police Department. -- Police took a domestic battery report in the 2400 block of Carolyn. The juvenile victim said her father, who allegedly has been cocaine and acting erratic, shoved her as he was taking her to school. When she shoved him back, he struck her with the back of his open hand across the face, causing her eye to swell, the report noted. Police contacted the Arkansas Crimes Against Children hotline...

Blytheville police arrested three individuals Wednesday night in connection with a shooting in the 500 block of Stemac. Kyrone Williams, Shannon Williams and Renaldre Toliver face charges of possession of a defaced firearm, terroristic act (three counts) and possession of a prohibited weapoon. James Mansley, Jr., 69, of Keiser, passed from this life Wednesday March 30, 2016 at his home. Born at Moselle, Miss., he was the son of the late Cleveland James Mansley and Audie Mae Lindsey and his stepfather L.B. He was a retired hydraulics mechanic and a longtime Memphis area resident before making his home in Keiser nine months ago...

Rev. Lawrence Echols, Sr., 87, of Blytheville, died March 30, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time by Wilson Funeral Home.
