Karson Avery Betts of Brookland may only be 18-months old, but he is already a world-class fighter and is one for the history books...literally. Karson has been diagnosed with pleuropulmonary blastoma, and his case is one of less than 350 documented cases worldwide. Karson is a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. and has undergone a total of three surgeries already in his life...

I had the great pleasure of attending the KIPP School science fair this weekend. All of the kids did a great job on their projects, but a couple of them were really outstanding.
