I am not calling the hogs, I am calling the hogs out for continuing to peddle former Arkansas Athletic Director Frank Broyles' "Kool-aide" of squealing, crying and running away from an annual game with the Arkansas State Red Wolves Football team. Its loudest argument has been that Arkansas is too small to support two successful big time programs and therefore all support and resources should be directed to "Hog Heaven" in Fayetteville. Not true...

Jail fees lawsuit continues

According to a document released by Mississippi County government, the city of Blytheville currently owes the county over $700,000 in back jail fees. As of July 31 of this year, the total in unpaid fees is $737,211.94. The document states that the city owes $80,861.94 from the year of 2010, with 2011 and 2012 left out due to the agreement reached between the two government entities, and a total of $656,350 owed for the years 2013 and 2014 through the present...

Police probe shooting involving juveniles

Blytheville police are investigating a shooting, involving juveniles, Wednesday night, in the 1000 block of South Lilly. No injuries were reported. According to the police report, the juvenile victim said another juvenile shot at her. She was apparently driving south on Lilly towards Walls Street and saw her ex-boyfriend -- the alleged shooter -- standing in the street...
