With sleet and freezing rain still descending, power outages began early Friday morning in Mississippi County.

Both the Blytheville Fire Department and the Blytheville Police Department reported having had relatively slow days as of 2 p.m. this afternoon, but both said they expect things to pick up as weather worsens throughout the evening.
