So I have a few pregnancy-related observations. Basically, I've summed them up thusly -- being pregnant seems to be a lot like getting old.

Monday will be the final day for Blytheville's 1-cent IRS tax, a temporary tax that began in July 2012 to pay a multimillion dollar payroll tax debt. On Tuesday, the city sales tax rate will drop to 1.25 percent and become lower than those of Gosnell (1.5 percent) and Manila (1.75 percent) as well as Jonesboro (1.5 percent), West Memphis (1.5 percent) and Marion (1.5 percent)...

The congregation of Blytheville's First Christian Church will be having a celebration this weekend in honor of the 75th birthday and retirement of long-time pastor and community leader, Dr. Tommy J. Carney. Carney became a Christian in 1960 at the Gosnell Baptist Church, and answered the call to preach on Easter Sunday, 1961. ...
