According to a preliminary state police report, Tasha Annette Holder, 43, died Sunday morning, Feb. 24, in a one-vehicle accident. The wreck occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. on State Highway 77, south of Manila. She was traveling northbound in a 2000 Ford Ranger pick-up truck. The vehicle left the highway, hit a utility pole and overturned. Holder was ejected from the vehicle...

Mrs. Rosie Boyce, 85, of Green Bay, Wis., died Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Betty (Little) Beard, 84, of Marion, and formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

No parent should have to lose a child, to watch that child grow sicker and weaker and know there is nothing they can do to help. But for the families of so many children stricken with one form of cancer or another, too often that is the case.

So a lot is going right now. So much, in fact, that it's hard for me to land on one thing to write about, so I'm just going to give you guys a few quick bursts of what's been going on.

The Mississippi County Razorback Club banquet scheduled for Monday night was postponed because of bad weather in parts of the state. The event has been moved to Wednesday night.
