Wednesday morning of this week was chocked full of a board working together selecting an animal shelter plan. Everyone seemed excited to be a part of the choosing of a plan that hopefully will not be cost prohibitive but, one that could be efficient and able to add to when the time arises...

Jeri-Lin Donuts is getting ready to move their iconic doughnut shop, but the move won't be very far. In an email sent out last week, owner Linda Musser announced that after 43 years of business, Jeri-Lin would be moving. The building, which Musser says was old when they bought it, has continued to deteriorate over the last four decades and has reached a point where it is no longer inhabitable. Musser said she and her late husband, Jerry, had been working on moving for a while...

Local woman arraigned for embezzlement

Local woman Morgan Rouse, 25, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of forgery and theft in a case of embezzlement from her employer, the Dogwood Water Association. Rouse has a prior felony history with the Blytheville Police Department, and is currently on bond for aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor, and carrying a weapon. The new charges of forgery and theft are linked to a total amount of over $50,000 that she allegedly stole from the defendant...
