Twice I've mentioned in this column that I was (with reservations) going to vote YES in the upcoming special election for a sales tax add-on to take care of the city of Blytheville's multi-million dollar debt to the IRS. I've stated that the vote had little chance of approval my vote notwithstanding; I was just thinking of the easiest way out for the city...

First of all, I want to say that I agree with Robert Christian's letter to the editor. To even consider making the tax-payers pay the city's debt is just ridiculous! Taxpayers should not have to bail out the city of Blytheville. The city would not be owing the IRS if the people that were elected to office held up to responsibility ... ...
