On Oct. 15, at approximately noon, Deputy Robert Perkins and Sgt. Chris Ditto were dispatched to 609 S. Highway 181, Apt. 10, in Keiser, in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Mr. James T. Marshall, 70, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

I am an ex-alderman and am familiar with most of the past happenings the city council had been involved in for the city of Gosnell. I advised our newly elected mayor, after he took office, to review the past agreement with the city of Dell concerning the treatment of their sewage. ...

My Dear Sweet Sainted Wife finally got back into town the other day from yet another excursion to visit (and babysit) granddaughters Alexandra and Leah Bo in Columbia, Mo.

Blytheville (4-3, 2-2 5A-East) hasn't beaten the Pioneers since 2007, when the Chicks won a thriller, 22-21, at home on their way to a perfect 10-0 regular season...

MONETTE -- LaVonta Smith and Austin Nicholson combined for 53 points to lead Armorel to its first win of the season, 76-66, over Abundant Life, Thursday night, in the Joe Jones Classic at Buffalo Island Central. Smith had a double-double of a game-high 28 points and 11 rebounds, while also blocking two shots and swiping four steals...

GOSNELL-- The Gosnell Junior Pirates made quick work of the Westside Junior Warriors in a 36-14 win Thursday night at J.W. Rea Field -- their final home game of the year. The Pirates (6-1, 4-1) scored all 36 points and collected 292 yards of total offense in the first 16 minutes of play, invoking the mercy clock for the entire second half...

This week's Pet of the Week at the Blytheville Humane Society is "Abby," a young female Jack Russell Terrier. Abby is a playful girl who will need work with manners.
