I have all the love and admiration for the women who contribute their hair to the "Locks of Love" program. Many donors do so because they are getting it done to have a different hairstyle and feel that it goes to individuals who are or who have suffered from hair loss because of cancer treatments. There are some women who do so because of compassion for other people suffering from the results of this dreadful disease...

"Snoopy 1" stops in town

The MetLife blimp "Snoppy 1" made an overnight stop Thursday at the Arkansas Aeroplex in Blytheville. The blimp is on its way to Indianapolis, where it will fly over the Chiefs-Colts NFL game Sunday.

Prayer Gardens to benefit entire community

Citizens of Blytheville can look forward to the construction of a new community feature -- the Blytheville Prayer Gardens at First Christian Church. The gardens are the second phase in an expansion project of the church, but will be meant for use by the entire community.
