I think the tax would be a good idea to get the bill paid, but who is trying to find where the $2 million-plus went to? This should be pretty easy to find since it should only involve two to three former employees. Come on, people, this is a slam dunk case if the right former employees are picked up and run through the mill like a common criminal that they are. You don't just misplace $2 million...

Why should the people of Blytheville be held responsible for the actions of a former mayor's office? There are several hundred senior citizens on Social Security, SSI, disability and many unemployed that should not be penalized with a higher sales tax for the wrongdoings of this higher office...

Wednesday afternoon, Second Judicial District Prosecutor Scott Ellington said his office is still investigating the city of Blytheville's $3.2 million IRS debacle.

Mrs. Margaret Nadine Malloy, 83, of West Memphis, formerly of Leachville, the widow of Mr. R.W. "Dub" Malloy, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Broadway Healthcare in West Memphis.
