The Blytheville Police Department has recently made several arrests in connection to both recent and older crimes.

The grandkids were here this weekend -- Leah, Scott and Amy -- to attend vacation Bible school at the First Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church. And I think it is safe to say a great time was had by all.

The last week of May, I rode the Great River Road of Arkansas. It took six days. It was a fundraiser for the Delta Gateway Museum and a personal achievement for my 70th year. Some folks are asking if I did it and how was it. I would like those people who may want to contribute to the museum to know it was finished the 29th of May. The total milage was 331 miles...

I can't remember the number of times I have read in the paper about junk or inoperable vehicles being picked up. My question is, when is the old pickup truck and front end of another vehicle behind the building in Walker Park going to be picked up? Yes, I know it is behind a fence, but it can still be seen by anyone driving on Ruddle Road, along with the tall grass around them...

Meredith Suzanne Brown and Matthew Randall Perkins were married Saturday, July 9, 2011, in the sanctuary of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
