Jordan Micheal Lee Razer, age 3 months, son of Josh and Tiffany Razer of Blytheville, passed from this life Thursday, July 14, 2011, at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Micheal Razer. Jordan is survived by his parents; grandparents, Terri Razer, Gracie Clay and Lee Clay, all of Blytheville; aunts and uncles, Quintin Clay, Joseph Razer and Amber Razer Boone, all of Blytheville and Lashana Clay of Jonesboro; and his great-grandmothers, Lucille Nelson of Gosnell and Jestine Carmel of Magnolia, Miss.. ...

Mr. Everett Austin (Jim) Rebstock was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Dale, Ark., the son of the late Shirley Harrison and Rettia Potter Rebstock. He was united in marriage to Lucy Myrick Feb. 21, 1942. Mrs. Rebstock preceded him in death March 1, 2005. Mr. Rebstock was retired from Jackson's Cookie Company in Memphis. ...

Council members, citizens plan cleanup

Members of the Blytheville city council, local church leaders and area residents met at the Boys and Girls Club on South Elm in Blytheville Saturday to discuss new ways to clean up the city. The Academic Excellence After School and Summer Program, sponsored for Blytheville Public Schools by Tenaris, has just successfully completed its first year and will be expanding its reach for year two. EOC offers utility bill help

The Mississippi County Equal Opportunity Commission began its summer utility bill assistance program this week. The federally funded program assists residents who are having trouble paying their utility bills over the summer months. There is a similar program to help with heating bills in the winter months...
