Bootheel man arrested in sodomy case

A two-month investigation by the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department has resulted in the arrest of of a 21-year-old Bragg City man on two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of domestic abuse, according to Sheriff Tommy Greenwell.

Let's recap the Middle East in recent times. We worked with a dictator in Iran who was moving his people into the 20th century. The people rose up wanting democracy and we ask the Shah to step aside, to prevent a bloody civil war. He did and the country is now lead by a radical Islamic group on the brink of having nuclear weapons and has spread and promoted terrorism around the world. Great move on our part -- one dictator for another who is worse...

"Peanut"

This week's Pet of the Month is Peanut, an adult, spayed, Calico/Tabby mix who has been at the Blytheville Humane Society since Sept. 2. She is sweet and loving and would make a great lap kitty for someone. She doesn't mind dogs, but would have to be the only feline in the household.
