A fire Tuesday afternoon did moderate damage to a house on East Main Street, according to a report from the Blytheville Fire Department.

The Rev. Burton Furlow has been pastor of New Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church for 17 years, after he came to the ministry in an unusual way.

Ms. Margaret Gann, 89, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
