Fourteen local senior citizens recently traveled to Jonesboro to compete in the 2009 Senior Games sponsored by the East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging. The athletes competed in track and field events, including shot put, javelin, mile walk, and mixed relay walk. Car show raises $22,000 for Relay for Life

Members of the Cotton Classic Car Club present a $22,000 check to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The check reflects money raised during the club's Cars and Cycles against Cancer car show, held June 6 on the Arkansas Aeroplex. The Family Dollar Store on East Main had a very unusual shopper Wednesday evening, when this Hyundai Sonata driven by a Blytheville female, crashed through the side wall of the business, stopping fully inside the store.
