Buffalo Island Central defended its home court Friday night at the Mustang Athletic Complex, posting a 59-50 victory over Salem in 2A-3 conference basketball action.
Salem held a 23-18 halftime advantage before the Mustangs rallied to take a slim 40-39 edge into the final frame.
Senior guard Kaleb Dublin topped BIC with 16 points. Blaine Wildy and J.G. Edwards added 11 points apiece.
In the junior high contest, BIC squeezed out a 47-45 victory over the Greyhounds.
Dawson Stewart and Nick Patterson scored 15 and 13 points respectively to lead the Mustangs.
