Blytheville police arrested 28-year-old Cuteria Wheeler on second degree battery charges, following a stabbing in the 400 block of Dougan Tuesday afternoon.

The condition of the victim, Jeremy Coleman, was not known at press time.

Police responded to the disturbance around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, dispatching Pafford EMS to the scene.

"While standing there waiting for Pafford, Coleman started walking away and left to go to Great River Medical Center, even though I was telling him Pafford is on the way," the police report said.

A witness told police that Wheeler stabbed Coleman.

"I then made contact with Wheeler who stated Coleman came running into her house with a two-by-four trying to hit (another individual)," the report said.

Police arrested Wheeler, who is currently in the Mississippi County Jail.
