The EPC Warriors (1-2) will travel to Brockewll this Friday to play the Izard County Cougars (0-3) in 2A-2 conference football action at Izard County Stadium. The Warriors are coming off a 32-13 win over Manila on the road this past Friday for their first win of the season. ICC returns to traditional football after playing eight-man football last season.
EPC has made a change at the quarterback position as Eli Blagg has taken over running the Warriors’ offense. Blagg saw spot time at quarterback last season. Blagg had a touchdown run against Manila. Jacob Gaines and Dee Buchanan are both threats to break a long run in the running game. Tyrus Reel and Quincy Perry are favorites Blagg look for when he takes to the air. Brothers Doug and Ashton Reel anchor the offensive line that was minus a starter this past week. Lane Dirlam is a good blocking tight end who can sneak out for a pass if needed.
Doug Reel, Dirlam and Hunter Thrasher all start on defensive line that was missing starter Bari Shephard this past week. Blagg and Luke Robinson also see time on the line. Gaines and Buchanan are hard hitting linebackers against the run as Tyrus Reel, Perry and Cam Thomas are capable against the run and pass for the EPC defense.
