Betty Mae Dodd

Betty Mae Dodd, 90, passed away July 8, 2024, in Jonesboro. Born Dec. 29, 1933, in Trumann, she was a cherished member of her community and a beloved figure in her family.

Betty is survived by a son, Norman Dodd (Jean) of Trumann; daughters, Carol Greer of Harrisburg and Sherry Wilson (Clarence Williams) of Harrisburg; a brother, J.W. Johnson of Pineville, Ky.; and a sister, Eleese Wagner of Jonesboro. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, Donald Dodd, Shanna Roach, Thomas Wilson, Crystal Dodd, Greg Pepalinski, Brandy Wilson and Lara Williams; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bessie Johnson; her husband, Norman Floyd Dodd; daughters, Tonya Dodd, Crystal Dodd and Vivian Dodd; a brother, Robert Lee Johnson; and sisters, Marie Jacob, Lorene Williams, Elsie Baker, and Dorothy Goforth.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on Thursday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg with Bro. Gary Finley officiating. The Wilson Funeral Home of Tyronza is assisting the family during this time.

Betty Mae Dodd will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and the deep bonds she forged with those around her. Her legacy will live on in the memories of her family and all who knew her.
