Barbara June Scott

Barbara June Scott, born July 30, 1955, in Little River, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, in Memphis, Tenn. at the age of 68. Barbara retired from Walmart, where she diligently served as the men’s clothing department manager, earning respect and admiration from her colleagues and customers alike.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, R.C. Scott Jr. of Keiser; one son, Christopher Scott of Osceola; three daughters, Toni Scott, Tina Scott and Penny Herndon, all of Columbia, Tenn.; one brother, Billy Murphy of Rogersville, Ala.; and one sister, Jo-Anne Tibbs of Keiser. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren, Brianna Scott, Dylan Herndon, Devin Herndon, Audrianna Scott, Jasmine Fuqua and Kaylee Scott, and a great-grandmother to Jaxon Moore.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Bennett Murphy and Mary Evelyn Butler-Murphy; a brother, Bennett Murphy Jr.; and a sister, Linda Gibson.

The family has requested that all services remain private under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. They appreciate the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
