LaWanda D. Davis

LaWanda D. Davis was born July 26, 1975, to Sylvester Davis and Dorothy Davis in Memphis, Tenn. She departed this life June 21, 2024, at University of Chicago in Chicago, Ill., at the age of 48. She was preceded in death by her father.

LaWanda leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Dorothy Davis of Luxora; two sisters, Angela Davis Smith of Luxora and Sherry Lincoln of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Demetrius Jefferson of Gosnell; and a host of other family member and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 6, from 10-12 p.m. at Zion Chapel M.B. Church, 304 Main Street, Luxora. Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
